Really….
I found this post by Paul Abrams this morning on The Huffington Post. Unbelievable exchange , though not a surprising one from Karl Rove. Nothing surprises me any more. I just find it amazing that this is how Rove is going to spin this now:
According to Karl Rove (on Charlie Rose), the Bush Administration did not want Congress to vote on the Iraq War resolution in the fall of 2002, because they thought it should not be done within the context of an election. Rove, you see, did not think the war vote should be “political”.
Moreover, according to Rove, that “premature vote” led to many of the problems that cropped up in the Iraq War. Had Congress not pushed, he says, Bush could have spent more time assembling a coalition, and provided more time to the inspectors.
If you are like me, you have stopped reading/listening, and are rushing to get your anti-emetic. Continue reading…
Here is the video of the exchange on Crooks and Liars.
Well, you may remember this exchange from October 2004 that was attributed to Rove:
These are people, the official elaborated, who “believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.” The bullying Bush insider warned against such belief, dismissing it as naïve: “That’s not the way the world really works anymore,” he declared. “We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality, we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”
I think this falls under the heading of ‘if you just say something enough, people will believe it’. It seems this is how this administration has operated from the very beginning. The sad part is, that there are a LOT of people who believe whatever it is that they keep saying, even in the face of the facts.
This looks like more of the same. Amazing..

It’s just amazing that people will believe this when it is a historical fact that Congress tried to get Bush to hold off…..
Talk about lemmings…..

RB – it is a shame that this blow-hard even gets air-time. Traitors should not be allowed media time unless it’s to admit guilt and make a public apology. Not only do the Wilson’s deserve an apology, so do all the American people that were betrayed by this low life known as Karl Rove.

Karl Rove is a liar. This statement is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the view of any of the other Critters at this site. So if you want to sue anyone for libel, Karl, sue me and me alone. The truth is a defense against libel, and I would gladly subpoena anyone who could back up my claim, including your old boss, and his boss, Dick Cheney. And you, Karl Rove, are a liar.
(I’ve said the same thing on other blogs.)

It’s my personal opinion that anyone that reveals the name of a covert CIA agent is a traitor.
