Bush “can’t remember” if he discussed Saudi rape case with King Abdullah.

Amanda over at ThinkProgress has an excellent post today about how the Chimp would get all “emotional” if his girls were gang-raped, but when directly asked about why he hasn’t used his considerable influence to stand up for the 19-year old rape victim by Ed Henry (CNN) — gee whiz, the Chimp can’t remember if he brought it up to the Saudi King last time they chatted.

Bush refused to answer Henry’s question, simply stating that King Abdullah “knows our position loud and clear.” He said he recently spoke to King Abdullah “about the Middle Eastern peace,” but isn’t sure if he mentioned the Saudi case. “I don’t remember if that subject came up.”

When asked what went through his mind when he first heard about the case, Bush brushed aside his role as head of state, instead saying he would have been “very emotional” if it had happened to his daughter.

Regarding these emotions:

BUSH: My first thoughts were these.

What happens if this happened to my daughter? How would I react?

And I would have been — I would have been — I’d had — I would have been very emotional, of course.

I’d have been angry at those who committed the crime. And I would be angry at the state that didn’t support the victim.

I’m feeling kinda warm and fuzzy right now…..not.

  • Anyone remember Dukakis’ remark about Capitol Punishment if someone he loved was brutally assaulted and killed?

This is just as lame a response, but the press is so inept and cowardly that they don’t have the balls to throw the bullshit flag on him.

America is well on it’s way to Hell in the Bush handbasket.

  • hey! you missed the nest part:

“And our opinions were expressed by Dana Perino from the pulpit — from the podium.”

    …the PULPIT!!!…

    greetings from snowy downtown chicago!
from the 42nd floor of my daughter’s “home”…
tomorrow’s plans depend on the amount of snow we get tonight…

  • Hi Katy we went to Macy’s and saw Santa on Sunday. It was raining that day. The snow is more festive, I hope.

  • Coffins Draped with Flags

    Bush is such a liar.

  • Emotional?

I felt “emotional” when my daughter went off to college.

I felt “angry” when she got bopped by a bully in gradeschool.

I’m thinking gang rape (7 men, twice each), and 200 lashes by the government might produce a slightly different reaction.

But then again, I have a soul.

This monstrosity of a human being is embraced by the “religious right”. What more needs to be said?

  • Hi All!
The “I can’t remember” syndome at it’s finest! When a president utters the same mantra as his henchmen, then it may be time to run for cover.

Is this a signal that he’s back on the booze? Saw a grocery mag yesterday that said he was and that he’d suffered a seizure. I’d call this more of a blackout myself but what do I know?

This handy lapse in memory may be the hallmark of not only pathological lying but perhaps may be indicative of some very serious cerebral pathology or disease.

Good Morning realveritas! He is definitely increasingly strange lately but cerebral pathology, I doubt it, for want of a cerebrum in the man ;-)

  • On MSNBC this morning one of the personalities said this morning that when she was a young reporter she worked in Texas when W was running against Ann Richards (who I loved by the way). She said that he tore her up and that he was really quick and doesn’t seem like the same person any more. I don’t know what the cause is alcohol, pharmaceuticals or brain disorder but there definitely is something wrong with him. Of course it’s easier to tell the truth than to lie and have to remember all those lies.
