Thought I would get an early start on the music. I could use an early weekend.
Wish Bush knew what he’s done.
Wish Bush knew what he’s done.
Wish Bush knew what he’s done.“The arc of history shows that governments which serve their own people, survive and thrive. Governments which serve only their own power, do not.”
President Barack Obama during an address in Moscow at the New Economic School, July 07, 2009.

"The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights––are not simply words written into aging parchment. They are the foundation of liberty and justice in this country, and a light that shines for all who seek freedom, fairness, equality and dignity in the world."
President Barack Obama during a speech, May 21, 2009.
“Suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away.”

Or wish that we as a race knew what the fuck we are doing.

Very powerful song. I’ve met some repentant Republicans that switched parties so that they could vote for Obama in April. These are former “bush” Republicans and they couldn’t stop apologizing to me. Bush will never apologize for the damage he has done because he doesn’t know the meaning of the word responsibility.
And, hey, nothing wrong with starting the weekend early.

Good choice Bluedahlia,……Blessings

That’s a great video, Bluedahia.
My requests for tonight were all fluff.
Now I feel superficial. Perhaps I should start talking about adding a TV room? (see torture thread)

I’ve loved Linkin Park since their ‘99 debut “Hybrid Theory” but have had a very hard time absorbing their newest album (”What I’ve Done” was the leadoff single on that album.) It is somewhat of a departure for them. Their earlier material was much more personal.
Since you’ve opened the music floodgates already, might I suggest this one…

“Capital G” – Nine Inch Nails
I pushed a button and elected him to office and uh -
He pushed the button and dropped the bomb
You pushed the button and could watch it on the television
Those motherf**kers didn’t last too long huh-huh
I’m sick of hearing about the have’s and the have not’s
Have some personal accountability
The biggest problem with the way that we’ve been doing things is
The more we let you have the less that I’ll be keeping for me
Well I used to stand for something
Now I’m on my hands and knees
Traded in my god for this war
He signs his name with a capital G
Don’t give a sh*t about the temperature in Guatemala
Don’t really see what all the fuss is about
Ain’t gonna worry about no future generations and uh!
I’m sure somebody gonna figure it out
Don’t try to tell me how some power can corrupt a person!
You haven’t had enough to know what its like
You’re only angry cause you wish you were in my position
Now nod your head because you know that I’m right…alright!
Well I used to stand for something
But forgot what that could be
There’s a lot of me inside you
Maybe you’re afraid to see
Well I used to stand for something
Now I’m on my hands and knees
Traded in my god for this war
And he signs his name with a capital G

Neoke – I’ll post the video.

Cool Neoke, haven’t listened to much of NIN. Will check it out. Green day has some older songs that are good too. American Idiot and Holiday.

True, sometimes we all need fluff to just relax. It’s a good thing. =)
