Having “finished” the house, I am having fun unpacking artwork and playing around with casual arrangements.

The hand is carved from oak shipwreck wood, sunk at the bottom of Lake Michigan for a hundred years or so before finally washing up on the beach.

The plate is a Mimbres cliff dweller motif of ’steps’ that I have echoed throughout the house.

The contrasting blacks and whites gave me the title…

  • Wow! Raven, you are amazeing…Blessings

  • Thanks, witch 1, by the way, you asked about the size of the bear carving, it is about 6 inches long.

What’s this “automatically generated, possibly related post” crap all about?

The drivel about some Wesleyans or Methodists or whatever praising god ’cause they managed to pack up and move reminds me of the electrician who kept praising god cause he didn’t short circuit all the wiring he was doing in my house.
I am not at all interested in this kind of spam cluttering up my posts, and I hereby protest!

  • Nice - you have excellent taste.

Yeah - I don’t where these automatically generated, possibly related posts crap came from.

  • Thank’s for the info Raven, it is a beautiful piece…

Who wrote the rest of that response?.MsJ was talking about spamming also, for some reason I don’t see it on my computer…Using a Mac book..

Thank’s again for sharing all your great work, it’s like music to me to see such fine work..Blessings

  • Fixed it, Raven.

I found those annoying as well. Sometimes they were clearly NOT related.

  • Love the artwork, Raven. :)

  • Did you carve the hand too Raven. It’s really intriguing.

I don’t know where those related post things are coming from. We have to figure out a way to prevent them.

  • So where are they coming from Zooey, the tags?

  • They are a new WP “feature.” I wish they would just let us know about the various options, and let us decide whether or not to activate them.

  • Thanks, Zooey!

  • Anytime, Raven. :)

Sorry I’ve been absent lately, all. Studying for finals.

My eyes are going to freeze in a permanent cross. Heh.

  • I’m only able to grab moments to log on these days, every day is an unknown, (happily) off here and there about the forest.
We have a new supervisor who is bucking for a permanent position, and he is bound and determined to whip this crew into shape. Running, jumping jacks, push-ups, pull-ups… I get home and I’m worn out.
