"The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights––are not simply words written into aging parchment. They are the foundation of liberty and justice in this country, and a light that shines for all who seek freedom, fairness, equality and dignity in the world."

Even more bizarre, this photo was taken by Mars Explorer, just feet from the famous Face on Mars.
Now we know where the killer rabbit went after the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch was lobbed at it.

Dirty unbelievers.

I can’t believe that woman is riding the noble and dignified jackalope.
It will never again be able to hold it’s head up in the jackalope colony.

There is something unsettling about the look in that lagomorph’s eye. I can’t really place it but I have seen it before and it always leads to trouble

It’s the look of “prey.”

First great laugh of the day!
Love it.
How are y’all tonight?
(lived in San Antonio for a brief, excruitating time. I freaked the first time I heard miniblue say, “y’all”.)

Hey, trueblue. How y’all are?
May 9, 2008 at 4:17 pm
Here’s a little something that reminded me of our missing polar bear.
May 9, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Why is our polar bear missing?
Please forgive my question as I have not been around in a couple of days.
I’m OK, Zooey. Are finals over?
May 9, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Finals are over — yay!!
TRoS is in Vermont doing a job on a movie shoot. He sent me that cartoon. He said people have noticed that he’s a polar bear, but everyone is being so polite about not mentioning it.

I think “y’all” is a very useful word. It’s a lot clearer than the plural “you”, better than “you guys”, and at least as good as “youse” or “youse guys.” I also like “you’ns”. That said, if I’m ever forced to live in the South, I want one of y’all to shoot me.
