It’s perfectly acceptable to mock Barack Obama if you’re a man of the cloth apparently just not any of the other presidential candidates. Monsignor Silante gave the invocation at the New York State Republican Party fund raiser yesterday before Dick Cheney spoke. Since so few people are turning out at events featuring our Vice President not too many people saw these insults. Certainly we’ll be seeing the video on Fox News though.

This dumbass ends his prayers with “God bless America?”
What a fucking clown.

Excuse me, “Reverend” Silante, but do you work at a church? A church that currently enjoys tax-exempt status? Were you aware that if you venture too far into the political arena (and, personally, I think the line is about a mile and a half behind you), your church could lose its tax-exempt status for getting involved with politics.
This happened in my state? Maybe I should write to NYS Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and find out if this speech violates the establishment clause.

Wayne,
Does it matter that he didn’t say that “prayer” in his church?

I hope he does lose his tax-exempt status.
