Now I know why Barack Obama will meet privately with Clinton donors and Hillary Clinton. My mistrusting self feared the candidate was switching over to the other side. (Sorry, but he’s a politician after all..)
As it turns out he is more likely trying to bail out Hillary. Senator Clinton still has that mind-boggling (to me at least, but I am poor) $20 million to recover. Remember, she has lent big bucks to her own campaign even after Senator Obama had a forbidding lead. According to campaign laws, if she can’t settle the debt until the convention she may pay herself back $250′000 tops. Still a lot of money, but..
CNN’s political ticker is reporting it and do not miss reading the comments, not much sympathy there.
Oh I’d like to be a fly on the wall, when the former First Couple discusses the impact of 20% of their combined monetary fortunes down the drain.

This is quite a bit of leverage for Obama. If he truly doesn’t want her on the ticket, this is his ticket to keep her at arm’s length. He can pay off, say half her debt in exchange for her undying support and campaigning.

RUC, just what I thought. Give her the money and tell her to make like a tree and leave. I wouldn’t have her on the campaign either. He’ll get those elderly white women yet. There is time till November and the polls look good up to now. He’ll have a running mate until then and Hillary will hopefully be history in fall.

As somebody who has donated to Obama I don’t really want him paying her off either. If she had quit when she should have she’d have lost considerable less money. Edwards quit when the handwriting was on the wall.
On MSNBC this morning they said something about how he needs to raise money for the party and the people down the ticket and she’s not a priority.
Nobody is reimbursing me for the money I spend that I shouldn’t.

All of this is just to crazy for me…..I have not nor will I live long enough to even count that amount of money if it sat in front of me and I was asked to verify the amount….Hell, given my health I will be lucky to live long enough to vote in this coming election. Obscene amount’s of money being raised, borrowed and thrown around like flower seed’s in a field…Look what all this money has given us, nothing but more ad’s and bull shit to sift through…We and the world would be better off if it were used to buy seed’s to throw in the wind….Blessings

Back at ya Shayne, No on the thistle seed’s and an ongoing health issue that will not improve..The old ticker is only firing on 60%….My time as everyone else is, limited…Not feeling bad today but by afternoon if I make it through all the have to do’s, like every day I will be exausted and hitting the bed early.My best buddy and I plan to meet up in N.H. if (we) make it to Nov….She has been diagnosed with breast cancer and me and my failing heart..No pity party, I’ve been ready for the cross over since 1980..The summerland has been looking better with each passing year….
Sun’s finelly here for day 2 so must get this stuff done…Bear’s on walk 3, we got up again at 5…

I fixed the link. Shayne, Obama may not give his own campaig money to her. He can only help her to raise some. Guess what hubby’d say if I burned 20% of what we’re worth on my pet project. Not that it would be that much, but I could buy drinks for all at the next cesspool party.
