I don’t know why Palin doesn’t play up the Secessionist ties – McCain could shore up his position in a whole host of marginal states in the South with that play….

Mrs. Cafferty passed away on the 5th of September. Jack Cafferty returned to the Situation Room on Sept. 15th. He was on every weekday for the next two weeks, plus Sept. 29 and 30, before his segment stopped appearing. The Cafferty File has not resumed since Sept. 30. He was increasingly critical of the McCain campaign and Sarah Palin in particular up to that day. I have my suspicions that CNN has suspended his show but won’t make it official by announcing it.
