Who is Steward Parnell? The rat-bastard that Bush appointed to the federal peanut advisory board, whose company continued to sell peanuts fully knowing that they were contaminated.

The following is by my fellow blogger over at They Gave Us A Republic, grolaw.
The AP is reporting that his Texas plant had the strain of Salmonella present along with rodent feces, dead rodents and bird feathers contaminating the peanuts.
I could easily post this man’s exact home address and I could say that burning him alive inside his home is warranted – but that would deny the civil and criminal justice system that we must cling to in order to avoid the whole of US Society unraveling and making the crazy survivalists seem rational.
No doubt about it – Stewart Parnell is a rat-bastard who ought to be destroyed by horrible and swift retribution – but he won’t be.
He has killed at least 8 and sickened over 600 – the man is a sociopath. Imagine the penalty for killing 6 and wounding 600 in any other type of crime? But, he’s a wealthy man and because he is wealthy he does not play by the same rules as 98% of the rest of us must.
Maybe, in a few years, he’ll pull an OJ and will finally get to see the inside of a cell – but the Maddof news keeps coming (another $25 meg scooped up by spouse just months before the Ponzi Scheme became public) and he’s still free.
Steal $100.00 and go to jail. Steal $50 Bl and go to luxury condo. Kill one person in a robbery and face life without parole or execution but kill 8 and sicken 600+ and retreat to your luxury home in the horse country.
Why does the state of our country remind me of France under Louis the XIV?
What the hey. Let them eat cake! Peanut butter and salmonella cake, that is.
UPDATE
The peanut processing company at the heart of a national salmonella outbreak is going out of business. The Lynchburg, Va.-based Peanut Corp. of America filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Virginia Friday, the latest bad news for the company that has been accused of producing tainted peanut products that may have reached everyone from poor school children to disaster victims.
In layman’s terms, that means the company may avoid civil liability for the harm it caused.
In China, however,
The chairwoman of the dairy company that manufactured tainted baby formula was ordered to spend the rest of her life in prison, while two lesser-known figures got death sentences in China’s largest food-tampering scandal.

Justice for this mofo would be to have his entire family consume his tainted product, and nothing else for a month.
He’s a sick fuck.
grolaw is being way too kind to this guy…
One guy kept giving his kid the tainted peanut butter crackers, believing they would settle his stomach.
The libertarians and conservatives believe there should be no government agency to make our food safe and secure. They believe that pressure from the free market will correct these type of problems. Give me a break! By the time a tainted product is known to be the cause of an outbreak of sickness, the corporation responsible will have re-incorporated under a new name, had new labels printed, and go right on making the same product.
I read that in the NYT, House. Can you imagine how that father feels?
I guess the free market would feel some pressure if half of all consumers were fucking dead. That shit pisses me off.
He probably wants to get his hands on some throats. I would. I had salmonella poisoning once. A restaurant supplier’s potato salad turned up in the news as tainted with it a day or two after I ate some from a small BBQ place here. I was sick for three days.
I’m so sorry to hear that, House. It must have been miserable.
Isn’t it funny how people think all these food recalls and poisonings are some sort of natural occurrence? As if food is just going bad somehow — super germs or something. It’s the lack of regulation AND the lack of enforcement of regulation, people!!
I think if criminal charges against the responsible corporate officers prove fruitful, then the injured parties should sue them personally.
I have another crazy idea, but I haven’t thought this through, yet.
In the Constitution, the penalty for being impeached and convicted is not simply removal from office, but also disqualification to hold any office of public trust under the United States.
We need some kind of law that carries a similar penalty for CEOs and other members of the board of directors of corporations that do something like this. Being on the board of directors of a large corporation pays a lot of money, but seems to carry little responsibility for what the corporation does. That way, if they do something like this, they are legally disallowed to sit on any board of directors of any corporation that operates in the US again. Something like that. (Since the Constitution grants the Congress the power to regulate Commerce among the several states, no Amendment would be needed to do this.)
Works for me, Wayne!
Interesting, Wayne.
Perhaps you should talk to your representative or senator about that. Now would be a good time to get such a law passed.
Thanks, BnF. I appreciate that coming from you. I thought I had really gone out to Wingnuttialand on that one. Maybe it’s the secret Populist in me.
