Britain’s Got Talent. Indeed, she does. After the surprise performance of Paul Potts here’s another unlikely superstar, singing like an angel.

BRILLIANT!!!
One of my fav plays, too. Beautiful song. Well done!!
Not only is Susan Boyle a wonderful singer, she so spanked those smarmy judges. This woman is proof positive Brittany Spears should be flipping burgers.
watching this, quite by chance, was the start of my day.
Hollywood can stop making “underdog makes good” movies now–this is all anyone needs to see from now on, ever again.
Why does the stupid American Idol show limit contestants to thirty years of age and under? This lady wouldn’t have even been on over here and look what could have been missed? Credit to the Brits for not discriminating on age!
This reminds me of hearing Jim Nabors doing Gomer Pyle, then hearing him sing in his real voice.
It reminds me of Milli Vanilli – the duo who could sing, but were deemed not attractive enough to go on stage.
Hopefully, Susan will help us re-define our notion of beauty.
BnF,
I think you have Milli Vanilli backwards, they couldn’t sing very well, their producer faked their vocals.
From Wikipedia”
“Milli Vanilli was a pop/dance music project formed by Frank Farian in Germany in 1988, fronted by Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus. The group’s debut album achieved high sales internationally which earned them a Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1990. The act became one of the most popular pop acts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, their success turned to infamy when their Grammy was revoked after it was revealed that the actual vocals on the record were not the voices of Morvan and Pilatus.”
It was Martha Wash of C&C Music Factory whose voice was dubbed to a more attractive “model” on the music video of “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now). Wash was one half of The Weather Girls, famous for the song “It’s Raining Men”. Before being known as The Weather Girls, Martha Wash and her partner, Izora Armstead, were known as Two Tons Of Fun. I leave to the deductive reasoning of the reader as to why Wash was excluded visually from the C&C Music Factory Video.
