This is my favorite Stones song. It reminds me of when I lived in Boston back in 1970 and was at a New Year’s Eve party stoned out of my mind and doing a bit of acid. The guy that I went to the party with left without me and I was stuck somewhere in Cambridge. Fortunately, I was able to find a ride back to Brookline. That’s how it was in the days before the Reagan “me and all about me” took over this nation. People helped other people without question. Reagan changed all that.

Best of both: Stones, and Linda Ronstadt!

HI, ZOOEY!!!
July 10, 2009 at 9:20 pm
Hello, Ms Jane. How’s things?
July 10, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Catching up with Countdown — stunning news about Bush/Ashcroft and the surveillance program.
July 10, 2009 at 9:23 pm
Well, the Vicadin has kicked in, so, not so bad.
How ’bout you? You’re here, so does that mean you’re back online for good?
July 10, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Vicodin!? Whatsupwitdat!?
Yep, I discovered a little while ago the internet was back in business. I’d been gone most of the day. I’ll post pictures tomorrow!
July 10, 2009 at 9:29 pm
Re: the Bush/Ashcroft issue, pretty sickening, isn’t it? It’s getting more and more depressing that Bush, Cheney, etal, continue to walk free.
July 10, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Sciatic nerve torturing me. Combine that with sinus/ear bullshit–I’ve got ear drops, nasal spray and Vicadin. What fun.
July 10, 2009 at 9:32 pm
It’s clearly a smoking gun against Bush, but what will be done…?
July 10, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Zooey,
Great to have you back. Perhaps you could clear up a little mystery that developed in your temporary absence.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but you are neither bald nor do you wear a monocle. Is that correct?
July 10, 2009 at 9:34 pm
That’s awful, Jane. No sitting, no standing, no in between. Ouch.
Feel better soon!
July 10, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Wayne,
What?
July 10, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Am I Colonel Klink now? Heh.
July 10, 2009 at 9:39 pm
Ensign Puppet Theater!
July 10, 2009 at 9:40 pm
It’s Cats’ fault! She’s the one that called you Fearless Leader!
July 10, 2009 at 9:44 pm
Ahhhhh, I see.
Well, I’m much taller and my chin isn’t that large.
The riding crop is interesting…
July 10, 2009 at 9:53 pm
Taller? Maybe you are Natasha, after all!
July 10, 2009 at 9:56 pm
That’s so funny, House.
My sons and I decided years ago that, when we were driving behind my parents one winter day, they looked like Boris and Natasha.
July 10, 2009 at 10:45 pm
Thanks for putting up this post, Cats. Yer a sweetie.

Lady Z – good to have you back. All the Critters carried on. We knew that you would want it that way. As for the bald head… it really is all Wayne’s fault. HoR put him up to it.

Hi Zooey,
Welcome back.
Were you gone?
p.s. I caught a 3′ shark on the 4th of July. I was fishing for halibut on my friends yacht – we really weren’t set up for shark – it was thrashing around on the swim deck (where my friend was standing, no less) untill it finally managed to bite the line and head back to deep water.
July 11, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Hi, BnF. My internet was cut off by accident for a few days. Yikes!
Maybe the halibut was inside the shark?
