  1. Hope you’re feeling better Walt. Love the Sistine Chapel and it looks like you selected a picture of the ceiling AFTER it was cleaned. Dirty or clean, the images are breathtaking, and show a Master’s work.

    They banned the smokers, but the candles are still there. At least they were a year and a half ago.
    I am doing a bit better – at least, I am not looking forward to my demise. Heaven can wait.

  3. Rest up and take a mental/physical health day. Give yourself a three day break and then ease into next week’s abbreviated work week (if you’re one of the lucky ones to have a job).

    Touching the hand of God can wait indeed.

    I watch Keith and Rachel online, sometimes Ed. I have CNN on for the balloon boy stories. Morning Joe just doesn’t interest me that much. I prefer the radio shows, Carl and Christine on KPOJ, which leads into Hartmann, then either Ed on delay, or Randi. I am really starting to like Ron Reagan too. Then Mike Malloy after Ron. That takes me from waking to bedtime.

    Thanks for the link to the story of Thanksgiving. No wonder they never taught me that in school.

    On another note, is someone mooning God in that bottom part of that picture of the Sistine Chapel? It kind of looks like it to me. But what do I know, I’m not into religion.

  24. House, do you get Stephanie Miller at all. She is a hoot. I like Ron Reagan too. Ed Schultz can get on my nerves sometimes, more on the radio than TV.

    Well, I was going to leave that to somebody else. I, for one, don’t care how many penises the Pope has to look at while doing “God’s work” in that room.

    I tried Stephanie and the Mooks for awhile. They were better than Lionel at Air America, because his voice is annoying after a while. Once I figured out where Hartmann was when he referred to things discussed before his national show started, I listened to KPOJ and found I liked Carl and Christine, all the intel, without so much scatological humor. And I get Hartmann a little earlier and for longer. If I listen to Malloy and go to sleep on KPOJ, I wake up to Bill Press’ show, or sometimes the Rachel Maddow replay(4 to 5 am central). My hours are more normal since the job ended.

  31. I feel lucky today. At least I was able to climb out of bed and take spouse’s car for a lube and diagnostic cycle. I fell asleep in one of the dealer’s couches and was awakened by a young lass who sent my adrenalin into high gear. I considered offering her a key to the house, but realized that would lead to subsequent problems with either my spouse or the state.
    The next problem is hooking up a new DVD player/VHS Player/Recorder to the TV set. No COAX cables – seems that switching modes may be a bit easier if I can figure out the device codes.

      • Walt, so glad you are feeling better. You just made me think of a birthday card I ran across some time ago.. These two older gentlemen were sitting at a park on a bench and one of the men was openly weeping. The other asked him why he was crying, saying he had so much to be happy about—some young hot chick in her 20′s at home home waiting for him.. The crying man looks up saying, “Yeah, but I can’t remember where I live”.. ;-)

    Please have a safe trip, and enjoy your Thanksgiving. Try not to think about what they were really celebrating, and look at it as a chance to enjoy a nice meal.
