Camperdown elm in the snow

This rare and beautiful Camperdown Elm is one of several in front of the Niccols Building on the University of Idaho campus.  These trees are amazingly gorgeous in the Spring and Summer, but possess a haunting beauty when covered with snow.

  1. Stunning – don’t think I’ve ever ‘met’ a Camperdown Elm. This tree wears snow quite well
almost looks like the portraitures of Yeti.

    • Gummitch, I’m planning on getting that shot in the Spring — from outside and from inside. They are gorgeous.

  2. Gummitch, the link where it says ‘Camperdown Elm’ has a nice pic with leaves. Click on the small pic on the wiki page, and it can enlarge again on the next size.

  3. Beautiful portrait of the elm Zooey.
I hadn’t thought about mating yetis before.

…umm, that came out kind of weird…
