This rare and beautiful Camperdown Elm is one of several in front of the Niccols Building on the University of Idaho campus. These trees are amazingly gorgeous in the Spring and Summer, but possess a haunting beauty when covered with snow.

Stunning – don’t think I’ve ever ‘met’ a Camperdown Elm. This tree wears snow quite well
almost looks like the portraitures of Yeti.
Very nice, Zooey. I’d love to see the tree with its foliage.
Gummitch, I’m planning on getting that shot in the Spring — from outside and from inside. They are gorgeous.
Gummitch, the link where it says ‘Camperdown Elm’ has a nice pic with leaves. Click on the small pic on the wiki page, and it can enlarge again on the next size.
Oh yeah, I forgot I put in that link.
Ebb, that is an odd comparison, but it works!
Beautiful portrait of the elm Zooey.
I hadn’t thought about mating yetis before.
…umm, that came out kind of weird…
Thank you, Raven.
You’re thinking about it now…
Until you put up the cow picture…
Isn’t that the cutest cow?
It’s best not to become emotionally involved with your food.
I know. That’s why I don’t keep cows.
That…and they get too big for my little deck really quick…
