TheZoo was created by a group of friends from ThinkProgress, who decided to get together and put on a show. That turned out to be mondo-expensive, so we decided to start a blog instead.

We Critters have a lot to say about a lot of things, usually political topics, so when our Willyloman suggested we start a blog, needless to say, we got a bit excited.

We are a friendly, and generally laid back group linked by a common passion. If you would like to join this gathering, you are welcome! Please join us in the comments section for active and engaging conversation, and the occasional Cesspool Party.

As long as your comments remain fairly on-topic and decent (not prudish, just decent), you will be welcome to remain a part of this community. Your comments will be moderated. If you don’t behave, you will be warned, and if you still can’t behave, you’ll be sent to the spam bin.
