Racism Rears Its Ugly Head, Again

This is the same man that was captured by ABC news in the bleachers at a Palin rally in Johnstown, PA.

The MorrillMajority was courageous enough to interview this man as he was walking into the rally.

  1. I’m surprised that we haven’t seen a noose yet after watching a few days of these videos…

  2. You know I thought that too, Terry, but didn’t think they would go quite that far, yet.

  3. I know the person that took the video. He was handing out “Palin, the Alaska Disasta” hockey cards at the Flyers game last night.
Yeah, the video was the interview.

  4. Thanks, Cats & House.

OT, Joe Biden and Hillary & Bill Clinton will be speaking on the same stage in Scranton, PA momentarily. MSNBC will will air it live…

  5. Didn’t see much airtime of the story last week that in Ohio, some mosques were peppered sprayed during worship.

    Other stories of religious/racial intolerance:
    1. Acre – rioting by right-wing Jewish mobs because they saw an Arab-Israeli driving his car on Yom Kippur
    2. In Hindustan – Hindu mobs running Christians our of town, raping and sometimes killing ones they catch….

  6. Might have to ressurrect my Thinkprogress alter-ego, Nathan Bedford Forrest, for some biting satire.

  7. Remarks by Rep. John Lewis appear to compare McCain and Palin to segregationist Gov. George Wallace of Alabama.

Republican candidate John McCain on Saturday called Lewis’ remarks “shocking and beyond the pale.”

“A careful review of my earlier statement would reveal that I did not compare Sen. John McCain or Gov. Sarah Palin to George Wallace,” Lewis stated. “It was not my intention or desire to do so. My statement was a reminder to all Americans that toxic language can lead to destructive behavior.”

  8. They say eventually white people will be the minority in this country. With the level of stupidity among so many of us whites I have to think this country will be improved when we are predominantly brown.

  9. Cats, I’m giving you credit for all the good things that have happened in Pennsylvania this year. :)

  10. Thank’s for the head’s up on the Penn..rally Lady Z..I was able to catch it and it was very good…Great post’s all…Off to hunt down a wizard and enjoy the sunshine with Oso…Blessings all.

  11. Great, a modern day Archie Bunker, a proud bigot who is just a bit too stupid to understand just how stupid he is.

It should come as no surprise that the final weeks of this election will be an increasingly cathartic moment for (un)American racists. I believe we will see more and more of them, becoming more and more brazen as they realize that, yes, the unthinkable is really happening. Increasingly, the facades will drop in their hour of desperation.

Up until recent days, most of the underlying racism was hidden behind other thin veils – “Obama is a Muslim”, “Obama is an Arab”, “Obama is a communist”, “Obama pals around with terrorists”, “Obama is a shady Chicago politician”, “Obama wasn’t born in the US”. We scratch our heads in wonder at how so many people can parrot these absurdities, until we comprehend what really lurks underneath.

And the catharsis is being fueled at rallies by the ultimate white trash catalyst – Sarah Palin.

  12. Just heard the bitch will be back on MSNBC for her speel with in the hour…Don’t think I can stand any more of pitiful palin…Her voice alone attack’s my hearing and her speeche’s attack common sence…Think I will wash dishe’s and put on some music instead..You all have a great day..Blessings
