  1. “He isn’t interested in solving your problems, he’s interested in two things…making you afraid of it and telling you who is to blame.”

    It’s a bit paraphrased.

  2. 5thstate,

“No. All you can see……” MP&THG

BTW, Next week is our trip to New York. We haven’t made any specific plans, going to wing it. What we do on any given day will depend on the weather and what we all feel like doing that day. I’ll track you down here at the Zoo and possibly hook up for a beer. We won’t make it a must to hook up, but it would be interesting if we did.

  3. dycker….hook up for a beer? Spot on! If possible that will be lovely, if not, I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

yeah, I KNEW that was easy .

  4. “Okay, you people sit tight, hold the fort and keep the home fires burning. And if we’re not back by dawn . . . call the president. “

  5. 5th will keep going…

“Okay, I get the picture White Tigers, Lords of Death, guys in funny suits throwing plastic explosives while poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars of heaven shake, huh? Sure, okay, I see Charlie Chan, Fu Manchu and a hundred howlin’ monkey temples, and that’s just for starters, right? Fine! I’m back! I’m ready, goddammit let me at ’em! “

  6. Terry…

well it isn’t Sense and Sensibility….

ummm…sounds like Bill Murray, or Ben Stiller, but it isn’t either of those….. could it be Chuck Norris?

  7. Nope, another clue:

“All I know is that this Lo Pan character comes out of thin air in the middle of a goddamn alley, while his buddies are flying around on wires cutting everybody to shreds, and he just STANDS there, waiting for me to drive my truck straight through him, with LIGHT coming out of his mouth? “

  8. “No matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again. Sometimes I just want it to stay saved! You know, for a little bit? I feel like the maid; I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean for… for ten minutes! “

  9. Muse, I’ve got grand kids. You should hear my ‘also cute and cuddly’ imitation. I also do a mean Goofy. My kids always cringe behind their grins.

  10. Ding ding ding, we have a winner….

Big Trouble In Little China – Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall

    Final quote before new film:

“Just remember what old Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, “Give me your best shot. I can take it.”

I have coached AndytheTurtle (2.5 years) to repsond to the question:

    “How’d you get up there?”

    With:

    “It wasn’t easy!”

  11. Ooh, med you are smoking today!

Muse, my Star Trek was a gimme (says he with the Khan avatar).

The grandkids thing, is that a film quote again? Coming up short there.

AndytheTurtle was a kid who happened when I least expected it – he was supposed to be a gall bladder!

  12. LOL

    Same movie:

“Well, hello, Mister Fancypants. Well, I’ve got news for you, pal, you ain’t leadin’ but two things: Jack and shit… and Jack just left town. “

    • One more…
“That rug really tied the room together. ”

I was going to put a different quote, but it seems that ALL the quotes use the f*** word.. (Clue in itself..)

  13. Katanga Muse, hang loose….

Army of Darkness was the 3rd in a series of Sam Raimi zombie films that made him and Campbell cult heroes in the late 80s….

Campbell has made a career out of this post-Doug McClure hero genre, just like Brendan Fraser, another actor who hams it up and clearly loves to do so.

  14. As you might have noticed medjhiesco (otherwise known as ‘Ray’?) has been kicking serious butt over here. He’s sloped off to let the mortals have a go at the trivia.

  15. Ah yes, the Beer Tardis, moves through time and space to deposit happy travellers at their destinations as if instantly

  26. 1. Great Escape!!! Hardly. I’m sorry, but when you find out the answer, I think you’ll appreciate how funny-ly that answer was wrong. I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing at the idea of these two movies getting confused for each other. Trust me, you’ll see.

    6. Nope. Try 1970s, and based on a true story. No more hints on tyat one for now. 🙂

  27. 1. is Young Frankenstein? Whoah
    6. 1970s true story…. only one I have is the Watergate one, can’t remember the name. Woodward has been posing ever since.

  28. 1 Young Frankenstein. [Kenneth Mars as the incomprehensible Head of the Police. Says to the meeting of outraged and frightened citizens, bent on storming Frankenstein’s castle (in English), “A riot is an ugly thing, and, it’s about time we had one!”

The second one was Gene Wilder’s attempt to distract the monster after teling his assistantws, “Under no circumstances are you to open that door. No matter how much I beg you.”

    6. “Wood-stein!” Does that help?

    That leaves number 4.
