Music Night, March 30, 2012

Beginning next week, Music Night will have a new host. Unless I can persuade him otherwise, we will be alternating Fridays.

This is a really good video of some truly talented musicians. The front men, Flo and Eddie, went out to less-mainstream success in Frank Zappa’s Mothers of Invention, and over the years a ton of studio work (look ’em up).And they clearly knew how to have fun.

Maybe Terry will like this one.

  1. That’s the best Turtles song, melody-wise, and it was meant as a spoof of syrupy love songs.

Now tell the folks why they were known as ‘Flo and Eddie’.

  2. Oh dear, Chardonnay and sewing do not really go together, even if I’m listening to my beloved Budos Band.

I suppose I should do one or the other. Or the other. 🙂

  3. Ok, I saw “Gloria” up there and I gotta tell ya ….

…my brother was a drummer in The Shadows of Knight, who had a huge hit with that song.
