The Final Dawn

In the stillness of the twilight

      of the final dawn,

The winds of the four corners

            held their breath.

The ocean sighed against the shore,

                 once,

            and no more.

In the silence of the twilight

of the final dawn,

      The last tear fell,

            And a single ripple throughout

                  The still ocean spread.

      ‘Till every shore

                      felt its touch.
