  1. LGF has a special Christmas/MST3K treat.

  2. 10th Circuit Court Denies Same-sex Marriage Stay

Same-sex marriage will continue in Utah after the 10th Circuit Court in Denver denied Utah’s request to put a halt to the marriages, hundreds of which have been happening throughout the state since Friday when a federal judge overturned Utah’s ban on such unions.

The order, which came down from the federal appeals court just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, denies two requests for a stay, which would stop same-sex marriage from continuing as the state seeks its appeal with the circuit court.

  3. Ohio’s Ban On Gay Marriage Ruled Unconstitutional In Limited Case

Just three days after a federal judge in Utah declared that state’s ban on gay marriage unconstitutional, a federal judge on Monday issued a much narrower ruling that Ohio’s ban on gay marriage is also unconstitutional.
Although Judge Timothy Black’s ruling applies only to death certificates, it is expected to be precedent-setting, leading to more lawsuits in Ohio challenging the law.

We’re starting down the slope of the arc, finally. We have passed apogee.

  4. In the UK, a tradition is to listen the Queen broadcast to the nation. One TV channel does not carry the broadcast and instead broadcasts an alternative. This year, Edward Snowden, broadcast to the UK… my vote for Person of the Year over Frankie the Pope… but then he showed the media up for their surrender to the corporate interests that are really in charge.
