Sunday Roast: Rhymes with Bucket List

The President having fun at just about everyone’s expense at Sunday’s White House Correspondent’s Dinner.  I love how much fun he’s having with his Fuck It List, and you can definitely tell he has no more campaigns to run.

“Luther the Anger Translator” is up at 14:35, but he gets scared off four minutes later — by the President I wish we’d had for all this time.  🙂

This is our daily open thread — Enjoy!

  1. “Michele Bachmann actually predicted that I would bring about the biblical end of days. Now, that’s a legacy. That’s big. I mean, Lincoln, Washington, they didn’t do that.”
    🙂

  2. In case, FatherBob checks in on a Sunday:

Rare California condor spotted in Los Alamos

Los Alamos birder Joe Fitzgibbon drove more than a day to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon recently looking for the California condors released there. He didn’t see one.
Instead, one landed in his backyard on Friday. “I didn’t recognize it at first. It was huge,” Fitzgibbon said. “I was flabbergasted.”
It was likely the first condor spotted in New Mexico since before recorded history, according to Fitzgibbon and Bob Parmenter, scientist at the nearby Valles Caldera National Preserve in the Jemez Mountains.

  3. Many many times I wonder: how much different would things be, how much better off would be the middle class, how many more REAL jobs would there be, how much better would be this country’s health care solution, how much LESS influence would fundamentalist religionistas have, how much LESS intrusion in the affairs of ordinary Americans by NSA peeping Toms would there be, how much LESS money would have been tossed out the door and spent on ridiculous wars, etc. etc. etc. — how much better off would both the US and the world be if, during each and all of Obama’s years in the White House, there had been a solid majority of progressive liberals in the Congress and on the Supreme Court, and if the crazy right wing had NO SAY AT ALL in the affairs of the country??

    • They’re really frothing at the mouth about this Russian Uranium One deal. It appears really bad to the casual news consumer, as though the deal happened since Putin has stirred up so much trouble, but the deal was done through a Canadian company first, then gradually transferred to the Russian agency Rosatom in three separate transactions over 2009 to 2013, well before Putin invaded Ukraine. The Canadian investors had already been giving to the Clinton Foundation, so the company continued doing it after the Russians took over.

    • Joe Trippi: If Clinton Accusations Are True, Who Bribed The Eight Departments Of Government?

TRIPPI: I actually think we have a lack of depth of coverage on this, because one of the things that I don’t see anybody reporting on is, for any of this to be true you have… who bribed the eight departments in the U.S. government? Who bribed the Utah regulator?

. . . assuming there was something wrong with this company getting twenty percent of the uranium and giving it to Russia and all this kind of stuff, assuming that was true and then, what, were the Clintons, and what I mean by this is I didn’t see The New York Times or Washington Post, anybody contacting any of those other departments trying to follow this story in that direction.

State plus eight other departments — each had veto power, so all agreed on the deal. Had little or nothing to do with Hillary as Secy of State’s signature of agreement, given that each could have stopped it. Lots of bribery needed, but no one anywhere deems it worth a peak because to do so might reduce the anti-Hillary bullshit.

      Sleaze.

    • It appears that Tony has dedicated his life to being a dick so his tweet really shouldn’t come as a surprise.
He’s one of those “we had to burn down the village to save it” types.

Too bad he doesn’t believe in Karma because, he gets a dose of it during one of his public sermons.
He rationalizes a lot rather than accept the fact that not everyone thinks exactly his way.
