ooo, so glad you posted! If the King didn’t bring you forth, nothing would!
Thanks for sharing the plays and great to read you!
SooooooooooooSweet! Makes me tear up…
In 1997 I hired a young guy to help me at my car shop. He’d work from 8 til 1, and go to class the rest of the day. I let him put the radio on the station he liked, and this song was in heavy airplay at the time. I usually don’t like ‘sampling’, but in this song I thought it worked pretty well.
BB King.
Helping Blacks with no soul.
Thanks to BB King. Don “no soul” Simmons is now cool.
Sadly, the world will now be a little emptier.
Truly the King is B.B. We’ll have his music forever.
BB king – a few of his:
I saw him with Buddy Guy in Texas in 94
Time to play the blues…
Other band at the Woodlands Blue Festival in 1994 was Fabulous Thunderbirds, with Jimmy Vaughn
Would you buy a used car from Kim Wilson?
Slowhand loved playing with BB King
Robert Cray……
I liked his collab with the Memphis Horns – so them live in Fort Wayne 1991 – they backed up Steve Winwood – he was blah, they were awesome.
Hah, BB King, U2, the Memphis Horns, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray all connected and played together.. Memphis Horns were on rattle and Hum with U2 and BB King… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Memphis_Horns
And for now … here’s some Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, playing Hendrix

What will become of Lucille?
According to wiki, all King’s guitars were called Lucille, rather than just one special one. Maybe one will end up in the Smithsonian, or the Blues Hall of Fame, which just became a brick and mortar attraction last week.
