  1. My summation:
Blah, blah buh blah blah, Benghazi, blah blah Planned Parenthood, blah.

  2. It is so transparent that TrumpDuck is using this stage as just another moneygrubbing opportunity…
I saw the first ad for the Trump online ‘buy Trump the candidate gear’ store…Barf.

      • As usual it is not an easy choice but waaay better than then GOP’s!!!

Problem for us is we have a “anyone but harper” attitude and that will just split the votes on the left – yet again sigh!

  3. Walker Emerges As Leading Candidate To Run Enterprise Rent A Car Branch

Based on his performance in Thursday night’s debate, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has emerged as a leading candidate to manage an Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch, Enterprise has confirmed.

Tracy Klugian, a human-resources director for the rental-car giant, said that he did not know what to expect before the debate, but after watching Walker in action he felt confident that the Wisconsinite had “what it takes to succeed at Enterprise.”

“He didn’t get too many moments in the spotlight, but, just from what I saw, I would feel comfortable putting him behind one of our rental counters,” he said.

  4. Rudepundit discusses the end of Jon Stewart’s Daily Show

Despite what he keeps telling us, “Jon Stewart” is dead after tonight, as much as “Stephen Colbert” died when that host’s host moved on to the great network in the sky. Whatever Stewart does after, his persona of Daily Show host is gone. What we lose in that is perhaps more deep than the humor, incisive and broad, and the social critique. We lose a way to frame the world, even if that frame was in opposition to Stewart’s obvious positions. We lose a way of understanding how we are being manipulated. By then end of his run, Stewart had earned our trust. He went from the smart-ass brother to the father a generation wished they had. “Jon Stewart” is dead. We shall never see his like again.

    • Hmmm, fill in the blankety blank, eh?
      OK, hows about:
      governing,
      foreign relations,
staying the eff out of wars,
not shitting all over the middle and lower economic classes…

      Just for effing starters…

  5. My fave quotes from last night:

Ted Cruz: “…I will start persecuting religious liberty.”

Mike Huckabible: “The purpose of the military is kill people and break things.”

    • Fascinating, Captain. I have to admit that for the first time ever, I agree with pHuckabee on the premise that “The purpose of the military is kill people and break things.”

I would add that in its greater context, the concept of “military” serves as more an incrimination of human genetic insufficiency than of anything else — but I guess I could say the same about Republicans, or fascists, or communists, exemplified by most any level of humanity’s dregs — Trump, Walker, anyone with surname Bush, etc. etc.

      Wonder why that is?

  6. O.K. The Huckster wants fetuses to have all the rights of a U.S. citizen. Does that include the fetuses that were conceived in another country or those being carried by non citizens? What about women who get knocked up here but then give birth somewhere else? Will foreign women start coming to America as tourists for a nooner to be able to claim U.S. citizenship for the products of those nooners?

And then there’s his insistence that “pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers, and “illegals” should pay their fair share of taxes. Would that not require the legalization of prostitution and drug dealing while requiring foreign citizens to be able to work within the system rather than under the table?

Once again, we see a rightwhiner speaking with no involvement of the cognitive centers of his brain.

  7. Trump: prime example of narcissistic personality disorder.
And getting plenty of NPD supply with all this media.

    • What I wonder is what makes so many people so willing (and able) to even pay a moment’s attention to such assholes? I mean hey, I’ve managed a few laughs at T. Ronald Dump’s assholiness, but that’s about all.

      • The MO of the narcissist is to gather as much gratification as possible. I spilled my wine while watching. So I drank 2 more big glasses.
A friend texted me and asked if I thought that T Rump paid audience member to clap and ramp the base up!

  8. Hey, some news to brighten the day here. If you remember my blogger friend from Kyev….

Tanya was married today to her Corsican/French man, Rudy, that she has been dating for a year now, in Aix-en-Provence. She and her son should be moving to Aix sometime within the next year – it is not so easy for Ukrainian citizens to immigrate into the EU and France at the moment, but now they are married, this should proceed smoothly. 🙂

    • Vote with your dollars.
Withdraw and attend a college that isn’t run by pricks.

    • The funny part is that the question that pissed him off was about his long history of saying nasty things about women. His response on air was that he doesn’t think he has ever said nasty things about women, other than Rosie O’Donnell, but then he let it stew for a few hours, and probably downed a half-gallon of Scotch, and simply couldn’t stop himself from saying nasty things about the Megahen.

  9. Ha ha! The holier-than-thou bunch is always up to no good!

A Michigan state representative distributed a fake e-mail that suggested he had sex with a male prostitute so he could hide his relationship with another Republican state representative who is also a home-school mom, according to the Detroit News.

Both lawmakers are Christian conservatives who frequently refer to their faith.

State Rep. Todd Courser, a married father of four, said in an audio recording that the e-mail was intended to create a “complete smear campaign” of false claims so that a public revelation about his relationship with state Rep. Cindy Gamrat would seem “mild by comparison.”

  10. This should work maybe??

What Mike Huckabee Means By Giving 14th Amendment Rights To Fetuses

A lot of people are talking about defunding Planned Parenthood, as if that’s a huge game changer. I think it’s time to do something even more bold. I think the next president ought to invoke the Fifth, and 14th Amendments to the Constitution now that we clearly know that that baby inside the mother’s womb is a person at the moment of conception.

The reason we know that it is is because of the DNA schedule that we now have clear scientific evidence on. And, this notion that we just continue to ignore the personhood of the individual is a violation of that unborn child’s Fifth and 14th Amendment rights for due process and equal protection under the law.

It’s time that we recognize the Supreme Court is not the supreme being . . .

    • I’m still trying to figure out what he means. What about fetuses that are in the wombs of visiting non citizens? What about illegal alien fetuses? If they are included then wouldn’t that imply that the illegal alien mothers would have to be given a chance to become citizens for the sake of the little unborn citizens they are carrying? What about American women who get knocked up in another country? How about a woman from a foreign country who visits the U.S. just long enough to get knocked up? Would her fetus be a U.S. citizen? Would said citizen be a U.S. citizen after the disaster of birth? Or, perhaps, he means that all fetuses everywhere are U.S. citizens right up to the moment they have the misfortune to be born in another country and/or to a woman who is not a U.S. citizen? Can you say “anchor fetus”? And don’t even get me started about miscarriages and embryos that fail to be implanted in the walls of a uterus.

Crap! Now I have a splitting headache. I really should know better than to try and impose logic on the ravings of madmen.

    • holy mother of effen earth. We know no such thing about personhood at conception.
      I detest the Huckster.
He needs to just mind his own damn business. And leave women to mind theirs!

      • The fertilized human egg is a person. Is the chicken egg a chicken then? They do taste different, I know. I should ask pHuckabee. I’m sure he could ‘splain it all to me. Right.

      • I actually loathe him a little less after the infomercial. I know that he didn’t mean to but he made strong cases to allow illegal immigrants to gain citizenship, legalize prostitution, and legalize drugs in order to tax all the “pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers, and illegals”.

  11. I’ve long figured Carson was a nutcase. I was right, here’s the proof.

Ben Carson’s Bible-Based Tax System and Other GOP Adventures In ‘Biblical Economics’

“I think God is a pretty fair guy,” he said.

And he said, you know, if you give me a tithe, it doesn’t matter how much you make. If you’ve had a bumper crop, you don’t owe me triple tithes. And if you’ve had no crops at all, you don’t owe me no tithes. So there must be something inherently fair about that.

And that’s why I’ve advocated a proportional tax system. You make $10 billion, you pay a billion. You make $10, you pay one. And everybody gets treated the same way. And you get rid of the deduction . . .

    • I should prolly apologize to Wayne and Jane who asked me not to “take all the good material.” All I can say is that yah, sometimes I’m weak! ConservaClowns seem to have that effect on me for some reason or other. But I’ll stop now. Hopefully.🙂

    • Does God know about carried interest income? Offshore tax havens and how a regressive tax system leads to the erosion of the social contract back into feudalism? No? I thought he knew everything…. or maybe he doesn’t exist.

      • I wouldn’t trust God to figure out a 10% tip on a $10.00 bill. Like the immortal George Carlin said; “He created the entire universe in six days but can’t handle money”.

Of course, the rightwhiners in the Konservative Klown Kar probably think that tipping is a demonic plot to turn us all into gay commies.

    • I have also long figured that there’s something really screwy with his reputation as a “brain surgeon”. Is it an “equal opportunity” thing or is he just a psychopath who likes to dig around inside skulls?

      • When I watch and/or listen to him I’m left with the impression that the rest of his brain surgery classmates might have used him for practice.

  12. On a completely different note…

I found an on line deal for new livestock to add to my marine aquarium. 25 snails and 25 hermit crabs for $19.99 including shipping. How could I resist? I just finished acclimating them and have added them to the tank but that’s not the best part.

When I greeted the mail carrier and accepted the big box that said “Live marine organisms” I couldn’t help but tell him; “when I told my friends that I was waiting to receive a case of crabs, they all backed away slowly”. I’m pretty sure he’s still chuckling!

    • You do have a grand sense of humor, pete!

Do you still have fish in the tank? Will the snails and crabs become ‘food’ to those still existing fish?

      • Thank you, Ebb. Any day I can make someone LOL is a good day in my book!

I still have the same three fish. A clownfish i have had for 11 years and two damselfish I have had for 6 years. I kind of just let the tank take care of itself for a while but I have regained interest so I might add one of those glorious “Mandarin Gobies” like you posted the other night or even try to get a mated pair. The same place i got the new livestock from offers them for $9.99 but shipping is another $15.00 so I might as well get two. Or three! They can be a real PITA to train to take processed food and live food gets really expensive. I’m still vacillating.

My current fish won’t bother the hermit crabs and snails but the hermit crabs will kill snails in order to acquire new lodgings. There is already an empty snail shell lying on the bottom but It’s possible that it came that way or one of the new crabs dug up an old shell. The darn things seek out shadows and my vision isn’t what it was 20 years ago so it’s really hard to tell exactly what’s going on. The new snails are busily consuming algae as I write and there should be enough excess to keep the crabs happy so I’m hopeful of achieving a balance. I just need to wait and observe.

        • Always exciting to have new ‘friends’ and watch them do what they do!
I’m visualizing the tank! Peaceful and calming to watch underwater beings and those that fly in the sky.
Oh, hell all of nature is a wonder to behold!

    • It worked!

hmm, I think that is a Twilight Zone episode?
That is one clever person who put that together!

    • Is that Trump looking in from the outside?
reminds me of Emily Dickinson —

The Plenty hurt me — ’twas so new —
Myself felt ill — and odd —
As Berry — of a Mountain Bush —
      Transplanted — to a Road —

Nor was I hungry — so I found
That Hunger — was a way
      Of Persons outside Windows —
The Entering — takes away —
