Sunday Roast: Liberal Redneck

I saw a video by the Liberal Redneck on RawStory — which was HILARIOUS — so I clicked through to YouTube to see if he had any other videos.  He does!

Here’s the video that was on RS:

Have you ever noticed that people from the South speak way too fast or WAY too slow?  There’s no in-between!

Anyhoo, I’ll keep an eye out for the Liberal Redneck, because he’s really smart and does short videos that come to the point quickly and humorously.

  1. Oh, and Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers — mothers of all kinds. Fur babies, smelly human babies, and babies who have grown up entirely too fast (but are still smelly). 😉

    Comedian Trae Crowder, the man who gained national attention recently as “the liberal redneck,” gave added insight into his character in a new interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell.

    Crowder went viral when he posted a video bemoaning North Carolina’s new anti-trans bathroom law as “liberal redneck,” a character you’d think would be a staunch conservative but is actually refreshingly progressive.

    Asked where his liberal ideology came from given his Southern upbringing, Crowder explained to MSNBC that it developed at a young age with a little help from his gay uncle.

    Crowder said he disagreed with the way his church treated his uncle and “a lot of the things the church had to say about him.” Thus, he started distancing himself from the church and the “redneck” lifestyle in general.

    I guess my ‘liberal ideology’ began when Reagan and his Attorney General Edwin Meese (I hate Meeses to pieces) declared war on Playboy magazine being on the newsstand of 7-11 stores.
