Might I recommend the tried and true US Army M79 Grenade Launcher. With a kill radius of only five meters, the collateral damage to nearby students (the infamous suck up first row) would be minimal.
Even though the round only arms after 8 revolutions, the fire from the hip mode is most effective at close range, and the blunt conical round will easilly remove the skull of any intruder, be it the principal, janitor or lady collecting popcorn quarters.
A handy holster could be attached to the leg of the teacher’s desk for a quick draw. Make sure you leave a round in the shotgun breach chamber, but leave the safety on, as one may well blow one’s foot off when hastily grabbing it out of the holster.
