Donald Trump Jr.’s tour through India is staggeringly corrupt
The Trump brand is surprisingly hot in India — and the president’s son is exploiting his connections to milk this moment.

Hey, grifters grift, it’s what they do, and P.T. Barnum would be proud. Every sucker fleeced, every corner cut…

Trump Proposes Arming School Staff: ‘It Could Very Well Solve Your Problem’
Might I recommend the tried and true US Army M79 Grenade Launcher. With a kill radius of only five meters, the collateral damage to nearby students (the infamous suck up first row) would be minimal.
Even though the round only arms after 8 revolutions, the fire from the hip mode is most effective at close range, and the blunt conical round will easilly remove the skull of any intruder, be it the principal, janitor or lady collecting popcorn quarters.
A handy holster could be attached to the leg of the teacher’s desk for a quick draw. Make sure you leave a round in the shotgun breach chamber, but leave the safety on, as one may well blow one’s foot off when hastily grabbing it out of the holster.
If all else fails, each corner of the roof of every building could house a machine gun nest, and each guard would have RPG launchers, just in case.
What could possibly go wrong?

Twitter suspends thousands of suspected bot accounts, and the pro-Trump crowd is furious

(Richard) Spencer, who has called for an “ethnic cleansing” of the United States that he claims would be peaceful, complained of losing about 1 percent — fewer than 1,000 — of his 80,000 Twitter followers.
Dude, you have over a thousand bot ‘followers’. Keereist!

  1. Q: In all the recent talk concerning guns, and with never-ending chatter about gun “rights” and how the Second Amendment is somehow almost godly in its misperceived “sacredidity,” why is it that NO ONE ever so much as mentions the principle reason Madison wrote it?

The Second Amendment Was Ratified to Preserve Slavery

Thom Hartmann, author of the above truthout.org essay, lays it out in simple terms:

The real reason the Second Amendment was ratified, and why it says “State” instead of “Country” (the Framers knew the difference – see the 10th Amendment), was to preserve the slave patrol militias in the southern states, which was necessary to get Virginia’s vote. Founders Patrick Henry, George Mason, and James Madison were totally clear on that . . . and we all should be too.

Why does the Mass Media not lay out the reality behind the 2A? Why does it, instead, continuously perpetuate the myth that the 2A was written to ‘define’ some mystical “right” that allows nearly everyone to own as many of those “things” they want, “things” the SOLE purpose of which is to kill?

Will America ever grow up? Don’t hold your breath in anticipation.

  2. WordPress changed this login system and now I can’t get logged in on my tablet anymore. When the page completes loading the browser crashes each time. I’m not able to open twitter pages anymore either, unless I log in to twitter. Since I won’t join twitter, because they want my cell phone number, I can’t even see tweets display at all. It’s put a serious crimp in my commenting since this all started in the last week or so.

  3. It’s with a sad heart that I report the death of my Smokey. I had his companionship for 12 years. I’m drinking between crying bouts tonight.

    • You have my condolences Pachy, for what they’re worth. I ended a long run of buddies when I had to give up Klaus. Then I went without until my ex found little Gisela for me (my avatar).

  4. I just read that there’s a huge storm back East. I hope all our Critters and Zoosters on that side of the country remain safe, warm and dry.
