It’s FRIGGIN FRIDAY! April 27thish
Here’s what gnuz is happening!

North Korea’s leader steps across border for a historic summit
A handshake between North and South Korea’s leaders is just the start: They are expected to discuss a formal peace agreement.
H/T Vox
Now that the North has Nukes, you’ll see them seeing themselves as an equal player on the world stage.
They now feel immune to regime change such as we saw in Iraq in 2003.

And,
At the Fed, the Scene Is Being Set for Financial Disaster
H/T The Nation
An interesting read on how Trump is packing the Fed with the usual business too-friendly toadies. The sub-headline reads:
A crash could prove to be Donald Trump’s worst legacy.

Finally,
The cost of Donald Trump’s deserted government

Sparse leadership across federal agencies leaves Americans in limbo.
These departments provide services for the most part.
Without staffing, no services. The swamp they’re draining is America.

  1. The wealthy need a recession about every ten years, as it takes about that long for small investors to get enough equity in properties and businesses, to make it worth putting them into bankruptcy so those with deep pockets can buy them out for pennies on the dollar.

  2. The reason minority employment is better now is due to education opportunities under Obama that PREPARED those workers to be QUALIFIED now, not because Trump got elected.
Someone needs to do a chart or graph showing what employment was through the end of Obama’s term in blue, and show what it would have projected out to be with no changes, then include in red the part that Trump policies may have added.

  3. And Trumplethinskin is again too chickenshit to show up at the White House Correspondents’ dinner.

  4. Of all the people Brian Stelter could have had on today to criticize the White House Correspondents dinner, the best he could do was Anthony Scarramucci?

  5. Jake Tapper said that CNN is having trouble booking Democrats because as long as Republicans are ‘blowing themselves up’ the Dems want to ‘stay out of the way’.
They can’t make up enough excuses to keep from having any Progressives anywhere near national exposure.
