This is, admittedly, a little long. It’s also amazing. And the miraculous intertubes even have video tutorials. I may finally have a new hobby.

OK this one for Batshit Bachman and that silly woman who was on Piers Morgan this week:
Spin Doctors – Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong
Was out at cub camp last week and yes…
… I was out in the country and ate a lot of peaches in the dining hall
Such a catchy, sing-along band..
Oh bugger – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvcohzJvviQ
Yum… love peaches. Just bought some white peaches from the local orchard.
Well, I tried listening to Gummitch’s video and my larynx started to hurt by about 30 seconds into the clip. Don’t see why a human should want to make that noise, when the drone of a bagpipe is adequate, if not preferable.

gummitch, Thrilled you’ve chosen a most interesting way of using the voice as instrument for Friday Music Night. Last year a Mongol/Ghengis Khan exhibit at our local Tech Museum. Throat singing was one of the presentations !

House, pass on by – warning this is a Tuvan throat singer.
I particularly like this presentation.

The range of this gent is impressive.
Amazing Mongolian Throat Singing
What is the name of the Mongolian version of a cello? This throat music is amazing. We had a house concert a few weeks ago with Michael Rhonstadt performing (Linda’s nephew). One of the guest mentioned that people all over the world sing from an early age on and Americans don’t sing freely like the people in other nations. Thanks for sharing.
.
Are you thinking of the
Yes. This is beautiful. I’m sure Michael Rhonstadt, cellist, would appreciate this. I certainly do. Yerts and horses… so Mongolian. 🙂
It’s a horse head fiddle. Interesting.
.
Also meant to say – even if you put it up a joke – thanks!
Definitely not a joke.
.
Really do appreciate you giving it a spot on a Friday night!
Long, but very entertaining…
Thanks. I love dance. I was born to dance. They missed Little Miss Sunshine.
Because I miss Chicago’s North Shore and downtown and it’s beautiful music and I did post work on the film…
