  1. Sad news about Paul Newman. My thoughts go out to his family.

Please, correct me if I am wrong, but I could have sworn that just before the debate started, they announced that Ted Kennedy had already been released from the hospital. So when McCain started off the debate by saying that Ted was in the hospital, I thought he had to go back into the hospital. Or was McCain’s information as outdated as his foreign policy thinking?

  2. FR,

I thought he was going to annouce next that Ted’s two brothers had just been assassinated.

“Labels Will Say If Your Beef Was Born In the USA”

It might say it was born in the USA, but was it bred there? Will the big meat companies start breeding their cows over the border (in Mexico or Canada) using chemicals that ought to be banned (if they aren’t already) and then bringing them here to give birth, just so they could put that label in it? I wouldn’t put it past them. Literally, anything to make a buck.

  3. Nothing would surprise me if they did that either. It is amazing at what great lengths they go to get around manditory regulations.

  4. Sorry to hear about Mr. Newman. What a class act.

Buy local, we buy from Puget Consumer Coop, they sell natural meats from the Meat Shop in Tacoma.
